| CampusCruiser Signs Strategic Partnership Agreement with Florida Distance Learning Consortium (FLDC) - Wednesday, January 11, 2012FAIRFIELD, NJ - January 1, 2012 - CampusCruiser®, higher education's only source for affordable and scalable "in the cloud" (SaaS) solutions, today announced that the Florida Distance Learning Consortium (FDLC) has entered into a partnership with CampusCruiser. The partnership will expand current consortium offerings to include CampusCruiser’s suite of cloud-based solutions and services to their member institutions.
CampusCruiser solutions include learning management system, academic alert, emergency/urgent alert, email, portal, among others. All solutions are offered via the software as service (SaaS) model which means institutions are not burdened with having to buy hardware or allocate staff resources to install, manage, or upgrade software. CampusCruiser does all that in the background, including backups, along with providing contractually guaranteed up-times. Integration support for SIS and other 3rd party campus systems (other LMS’s, content, etc…) are also available using single sign-on (SSO), as well as standards-based approaches for data exchange. The CampusCruiser Portal and LMS solutions are already integrated with several student information systems.
“Our agreement with the FDLC signifies the desire for Florida to have a true cloud-delivered choice for LMS, portal and other academic solutions. It's no secret that Florida deals with the potential for weather-initiated challenges to locally managed technology. CampusCruiser’s delivery model allows for expanded operational continuity, while offering excellent online learning and collaboration solutions for Florida colleges… without the local burden/risk of adding to their technology footprint,” said Allen Wang, President and CEO of CampusCruiser.
The formal agreement on behalf of member institutions provides the best possible pricing arrangement available to higher education institutions in Florida for CampusCruiser’s products and services.
"FDLC’s mission, goals, and service on behalf of their membership are quite admirable and laudable. Their evaluation process reflected their deep commitment to their constituents. Members can be assured that their best interests will be served with our partnership,” said Allen Wang, President and CEO of CampusCruiser.
